My Creative Zen Touch 40GB is frozen. It froze in the middle of a song. I read on a blogg online that the solution is to open it up and take the battery out and put it back in. This reboots it. I went to a reputable store (Sourse Cicuit City) thank God, and asked them if they could do this. They said NO! Never open it up. (It also says: do not open in the manual.) They said that all MP3's have a code to use when frozen. They tried holding down Play and Menu at the same time unfortunately that wasn't it. I have emailed Creative Knowledge Base (www.creative.com) but they are taking forever to get back to me. I am looking for a code for Creative Zen Touch 40GB. 1)Is there a code for the Creative Zen when it freezes? 2)Does anyone know the code? 3)How long does it take for a newly charged battery for the Creative Zen to die? Any suggestions would be helpful. JanieBforBlues
Thank you thank you thank you a billion times, you just saved my life (well, at least my zen's). Did as you said, my Zen Touch 20GB is rebuilding it's library right now. Oh, now it's done. Everything's still there, awesome. Thank you!

WOW! It worked!! Just got a phone call from Loud Therapy.ca
A technician by the name of Brad, walked me through what to do.
*Plug the Creative Zen in to the charger and plug it in the wall.
*Press in the Play/Pause (same button) and hold it in.
*Incert a paper clip (I used a darning needle)in to the pin hole on the left side of player, near the bottom.
*Hold the needle or paper clip in for 4 seconds and let go.
*Keep holding down the Play/Pause botton.
*Within 15 seconds the light on the player will go out.
It will be ready to turn on and play.
Had to share the solution!!
It's as good as new with no damage done.
