Your going to need to download the drivers for it off the internet. The same problem happened to me so i decided just to search for the drivers. I downloaded them, and then when i was installing it asked "Search computer for drivers" so i did that and found where i had downloaded the drivers to and then the EasyCap Capture Card worked. The only problem is you will need a good recording program to record with because the program they give you probably will not work. I decided to download AmCap which is a software that lets you record with your Easycap. Also i downloaded Pinnacle Studios 12 to record. If you have a Windows xp computer you can use Windows Movie Maker to record.

Drivers updated now has drivers for XP Vista and Windows 7 7/16/2010 Getting started, you will need another program its called USB-AVCPTSetup_For_Win7 you can get it here... download links are at the bottom of page.Do not install at this point save to your desk top! Ok your ready Do not plug in your Easy cap usb drive. 1. Put the EasyCap disk into your CD Rom When auto play starts click Run HAutorun.exe a window will open DO NOT INSTALL THE DRIVER !!!! 2. click Install Video Studio, complete the install adding your code with no driver reboot when asked. after reboot remove the disk you will not need this anymore. 3.DO NOT INSTALL THE EASYCAP USB DRIVE YET. 4. You are now installed but your cam will only show a black screen at this point, its ok we are now going to resolve that. Start the Ulead Video Studio. During the start up you'll have the choice of VideoStudio Editor or Movie Wizard click the 16:9 ckeck box at the bottom then click VideoStudio Editor. New window will open click Capture, now look for capture video button on the right side of the black screen, click it Just to the right you will see an Options button click. A drop down will show, look to see if input source is in dark letters,if so open and set source to NTSC/M and composite video is checked. If the input source is greyed out, open Capture properties directly under the input source,a new box will open click properties a new box will open this box will have 3-4 tabs you only need the first tab called Image tab under video sources click ntsc/m and composite video click ok click ok again thats it you should now have video,After any restart you will need to reset ulead up again, you should be good to go...... Hi, Ihave an easycao usb 2.0 and windows xp. And the drivers doesn't work. I need good drivers. Thanks

From what I can research on the DekCell EasyCap, the requirements for the deice may require USB 2.0, and not be backward compatible with USB 1.1.

Please check your computer to see if you have USB 2.0.

You can check this by clicking on the "Control Panel:, then "System" or "Devie Manager" then look at the list, the last one should be USB, double click on USB and it will tell you if you have USB 2.0.

If not, there are add on cards that can be install if you have a spare PCI slot on your computer to provide 2 or 4 ports of USB 2.0

If you have USB 2.0, and presuming you have XP, if you have Vista or Windows 7, the DekCell EasyCap manufacturer may not have compatible drivers for the unit for Vista or Windows 7.

Good Luck

Have EasyCap video capture device and vista x86

I have windows vista and my drivers load fine. Plug in the unit and the drivers load. I have the 4 camera easycap and the VCR easycap. Install drivers first before plugging in the unit. Restart computer, plug in unit, check device manager if there is a stk1150 loaded under image. My problem is getting small files from the recordings. I converted 2 mins of my daughters dance solo and it turned out 1.7gb AVI file without sound. Changing the options to mpeg or WV files will crash the program becuase something doesn't match. I need to play with it more to understand it better.
