Installing a 120GB HD kit into my mpc 1000 or RAM

I'm wondering what the difference is between installing a 120GB Hd kit into my MPC 1000 which i ordered on MPCstuff.com, and/or installing a PC133 144PIN CL3 SODIMM 256MB. What is the difference between these 2? and do I need both of them? Do they do the same or different things.
Thanks alot

Well a hard drive is a logical drive in which windows and all the things you download are stored until the user deletes them, and the pc133 memory is a temporary storage in where when you open something on your desktop in windows it is then stored into your pc-133 memory so you can view it, the more of this you have the faster it will open items on the hard drive, they both pretty much accentuate each other, the more ram you have the faster your hard disk access will be

I purchased an akai mpc 2500 used and it came with sounds and sequences all ready occupied, how do I delete all these sounds, or restore its factorys settings?

Try holding erase while you turn it on. You may have to turn off autoload also. You'll have to read the manual first ( pages 110 and 114 especially ) available here:http://www.mpcsounds.com/download_akai_mpc_manual.php It depends I think on whether the previous user saved to memory card or the internal HD.

First you must configure your PC to read your mpc 100
flush card. Just insert the software CD driver of your mpc
100 flush card, if you have the CD. Otherwise, you must
have a download from the internet for the software driver.

When i Install Ram into my MPC1000 the screen is blank..

Check if the ram you bought is compatible with that of the existing
in your Akai Mpc. The ram strip comes with a clock speed number stamp into it. It must be the same, otherwise it will not function. Or
it must be defective. On my own practice, I bring my PC to the com-
puter store, and let them activate the additional ram. In that manner
I will be assured of the compatibility and integrity of the ram added.
Do this, I'm sure you will be satisfied with the result. E-mail for result.

How do i Installation new ram on the mpc 4000

You have to first make sure the ram matches with the motherboard. There are front side bus speed issues that have to match up. If you can get on the internet go to www.crucial.com and let it analyze your computer. It will tell you exactly the speed and type of RAM you need. If it all checks out then let me know and we'll test it..

The computer comes no with password

The new mpc support site is back online at http://www.mpcdrivers.com
Mpc notebooks have a bios password ability. Once that password is set, you cannot log into the pc without it. The only method is to have a repair shop replace the bios chip with a new one.
There is no password utility that will bypass this.

Mpc 500

First ensure that you are saving into the right folder, on MPC HD and not into a subfolder, and that files are in correct midi format. Also ensure that connections to MPC are OK.

If connections and saved files are ok, then probably you need to reinstall Mpc 500software onto your computer, using disk provided with your Mpc 500.
