The Veriton 1000 I have has 50mm fans (length and width). 80mm are the wrong size. They are 15mm thick, 12V, 0.2A. For some reason, these seem to be more expensive than many other fans.

SOURCE: I need to replace a fan in my Client Pro 414

Any 12V 80mm x 80mm x 15mm computer fan with the appropriate connector will probably do. Power rating should be around 0.4A (yours should be 0.35).

Acoustifan's 80mm are the quietest fans, but I'd suggest Enermax Marathon (almost noiseless, great air flow). If they don't come in 15mm thickness, then SilenX Fan IXtrema Pro.

My acer 5750g notebook is bocomming hot and noisy on the power source side

The cooling fan will need to be replaced, go to www.ebay.com Type make and model of laptop, refine search to cooling fan. In order to fix this properly the computer must be dismantled down to the motherboard level, remove old fan and heatsink and blow out dirt and dust with a can of compressed air, next remove old thermal grease with rubbing alcohol and a paper towel from the processor and heatsink, now apply fresh compound and assemble along with the new cooling fan.

Should an ACER 5900 veriton, processor cooling fan, vary in speed ?

Yes all computer fans will vary their speed in order to conserve power. They will speed up when the processor is being used as it generates more heat and needs to be cooled more but if the tower is inactive the fan will slow as it does not need as much cooling.

I have Acer Veriton 5800 desktop and often the noise get louder and faster and then it quieten down. Do you think it a fan?

Most desktops have fans fitted, especially in the power supply.
The bearings and not that good and become noisy when older. They are replaceable but a replacement power supply is far less effort.
Show the fans a plastic pipe from a vacyym cleaner from time to time, that will make the fans more efficient and reduce the wear and noise.
The hard drive can get noisy also, (if it is I would before it is too late), recommend replacing it.
Hope that helps.

Blown capacitor in a Veriton 3600G...psu runs but system will no

It is not unusal for capacitor/s to blow their tops and could emit flames and smoke as the power supply ages. When they blow they could damage other components. Don't bother trying to replace them, get a new power supply.
