I can't get my player to eject a disc that is in the tray. When I try, all the display says is that the player is locked but when I go to the parental control menu, it shows that the player is unlocked. Is there a way to reset the machine so I can play more than the disc that is in there? Help, please!

If your Mini Hi-Fi component system is displaying an "eject" message and then switching off, it could indicate a problem with the disc tray or the system's eject mechanism. Here are a few things you can try to troubleshoot the problem:
Check for any foreign objects in the disc tray: If there is an object blocking the disc tray or preventing it from closing properly, it can cause the system to display an "eject" message and switch off. Remove any foreign objects from the disc tray and try turning the system on again.
Check for any damage to the disc tray: If the disc tray is damaged or bent, it may not be able to close properly, which can cause the system to display an "eject" message and switch off. If you notice any damage to the disc tray, it may need to be replaced.
Check for any damage to the eject mechanism: If the eject mechanism is damaged or malfunctioning, it may not be able to open and close the disc tray properly, which can cause the system to display an "eject" message and switch off. If you suspect a problem with the eject mechanism, it may need to be repaired or replaced.
Check for any other visible issues: If you don't see any obvious issues with the disc tray or the eject mechanism, there could be another problem causing the system to display an "eject" message and switch off. You may want to try unplugging the system and plugging it back in to see if that resolves the issue, or you can try resetting the system according to the manufacturer's instructions.
If you have tried these troubleshooting steps and the problem persists, it may be necessary to have the system serviced by a professional. A technician will be able to diagnose the problem and determine the necessary repairs.

You may try power resetting the unit and check if it helps. To power reset, turn OFF the DVD player and unplug the power cord from the electrical outlet for 30 seconds. Plug the power cord back into the electrical outlet and turn the player ON. Attempt to open the disc tray.
Depending on the model number of your DVD player, simultaneously press the POWER + STOP + EJECT buttons. If the disc tray still does not open, simultaneously press the DISC1 + STOP + EJECT buttons.
NOTE: This step may not apply to all models as DISC1 is not available on all DVD players.
If this does not work and if the DVD player has DISPLAY and PREV buttons, press and hold the DISPLAY+PREV buttons for two seconds to unlock the drawer.
If the Sony DVP-NS77H DVD player displays "TRAY LOCKED" and you can't
eject a disc or open the tray, try the following - First turn the unit
off. Then, while holding down the eject, play and stop buttons
simultaneously (on the front of the DVD player), turn the unit on with
the '/O button (also on the front of the player). This released the
locked tray for me.
