1 Press and hold the power button for 5 seconds. Then a menu should appear...
2 Press and hold it until it is over AUTO. Then tap the button once.

Computer does not boot up The problem maybe the RAM, it is faulty or just needs reseating to make proper electrical contact. Reseat the RAM and then boot up your laptop. If it still does not boot up then remove the RAM module/s and take them to your friendly computer repair shop and get them to test the RAM for you.
Change input device to some other which you know works for sure. If problem persists, try changing the channel. If you notice same problem, this may need attention by a qualified service technician.
If the lines are very thin, they are broken pixels. You have to replace the monitor. I've heard of people taking their finger and trying to rub the lines out, but I have never had success with this before.
