Using a fingertip, push down on the edge of the card as if to insert it further into the slot. The card will pop out a fraction, and you can grasp it between your fingertips and pull it out.

i'm afraid the biggest card you can use on this camera is 512 mb, which should give you about 150 pics at medium quality.

SOURCE: Vivitar ViviCam X014 will not turn on. Memory

Buy a real camera. X014 is cheap and has a foggy cheap lens. It will never take a good quality picture. It is a waste of a 10 megapixel chip!

SOURCE: I just bought a Vivicam

You can use any SD or SDHC card. The brand doesn't really matter, as long as you stick with the major brands. The speed doesn't matter either, though a faster card might download faster if you use a card reader.

You should be able to find SD and SDHC cards at any department, electronics, or office-supply store. Many drugstores and supermarkets also carry them.

SOURCE: The Vivitar ViviCam X014 keeps stating Memory

You have one or more pictures on the camera's internal memory and it won't let you use the memory card. With no card in the camera, go into the menu and find "format"....follow the on-screen instructions to erase the internal memory. After that, your card should work properly.

My vivicam x024 won't turn on. how do i remove the memory card? will the photos still be on the card if I remove it?

The SD memory card slot in located on the side og your camera. Push the SD card and it will pop out.
The photos are stored on the SD memory and removing it from the camera will not lose the photos stored on this SD memory card.
Remove the memory card from the camera and insert it into anUSB memory card reader. Connect this USB memory card reader and memory cardinto the USB port of your working computer. Your computer will see this as anUSB Mass Storage Device or an external storage device; you can then open thefolder on the memory card and copy the photos to your computer.Memory card reader is a handy device and is inexpensive. Youcan copy photos from other cameras and you can also download photos off yourmemory card to someone else's computer without the need of installing anyprograms.

Software for vivitar vivicam 8025

Start here, then click on the "Vivitar Experience Software" link.
The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.

Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files. Or you can use any photo cataloging program.

For $19, it's much easier than trying to find the OEM replacement cable which fits ONLY that camera.
