Question about Brother MFC 3820CN All-In-One InkJet Printer

Print head At first, i was experiencing the error 41 problem and i was adviced to change the print head of which i did. But after changing the print head, the priter mulfunction i.e when you want to make a copy, it will respond but it starts the following process; (i)cleaning, (ii) Please wait, (iii)Pls open cover, (iv)Cover open, (v)Pls close cover, then it goes back to the normal mode without printing. What could be the problem? I will appreciate from your quick response.

Does not work for #41 error code= bad printhead.  I kept getting this cose.  Looked aroiund for a new pinthead on the net.  Left the printer unplugged from power for 24 hours and unplugged the usb.  Re-plugged and viola!  Worked again! Strange, but, I'm happy.

Mukuwa, here are a couple of suggestions: How do I clear a Machine Error 41? Description: * Machine Error 41 indicates a mechanical malfunction of the FAX/DCP/MFC. * Unplug the unit from the power source and then plug it back in again. * If the error message continues to be displayed on the LCD, please contact Brother Customer Service. 1. Open the Scanner cover by pulling up on the edge of the scanner just above the LCD. 2. After 15 seconds, re-close the Scanner cover. 3. The LCD will then display Have you removed Blck? 1 Yes 2 No. The LCD will display this question for ALL 4 colours (not just the ones replaced). If 1 Yes is selected, the LCD will then display Change to new (colour)? 1 Yes 2 No. Note o "Change to new (colour)?" will only appear if 1 Yes is selected for "Have you removed (colour)?" If 2 NO is selected for the "removed" question, the LCD will then move on to the question for the next colour. o If "1 Yes" is NOT selected for the colour(s) that was replaced, the LCD will return to "Ink Empty". 4. After all the correct selections are made, the machine will then go into a cleaning. Once the cleaning is complete, the LCD will return to date and time. Brother service centre while if it is under warranty.

If it's out of warranty they are usually a throw away job, the heads cost as much as the printer.

Brother dcp-340cw error 4F (print head), the same as error 41?

It is the printhead, it comes 2 ways, with or without the circuit board, I usually only change the printhead only and it works fine.

Error 41

Hi,

Error 41 -The head drive voltage has not been turned from Low to High within the specified time.
Check:
• Carriage ASSY
• Main PCB
• Print head unit
• Power supply PCB

Error 41 Will not print. I changed the ink, ran it through clean process but test print shows weak colors and NO black.

Error 41 is showing up on the screen. says to contact brother. It's a intellifax 1820c.

warranty then it is cheaper to purchase a new, non Brother model. If you have been using non-Brother cartridges or refills, they can have too much water in them and it erodes the print head after a while. Usuall y just after warranty has expired!

Error 41 on Brother DCP-4020C

Honest answer?
Give it a throw to the bin!

Error 41 means that the print head is defectiv. You have to change the ph, but this spare part is highly expensive: 
You are better up by buying a new dcp, which is cheaper than a single ph!
