I had one broken a few months ago. I got a couple quotes.. it was about $200 less then a brand new one. I'd just buy a new one.
For the new TV I'd pickup a screen protector for it. My son threw a toy at my TV the other day and I nearly had a heart attack from the flashbacks. Thank God I picked up one of these a few weeks earlier. It stopped it. LCD screens really break easily as you know. http://www.tv-armor.com

I HAVE A LN-S4095D TV THAT WAS WALL MOUNTED NOW I WANT TO GET A STAND THAT WOULD SUPPORT THE TV ON A TABLE. I DISCARDED THE ORIGNAL STAND WHEN WE WALL MOOUNTED THE TV

Good luck with that. As soon as these sets go out of production, so do most of the parts associated with them. You would be better served to get a TV table stand that uses a wall-mount-style backer. That way you get the tabletop mount and the extra security of knowing it won't get knocked over easily. Something like this....

Set up for lg cs570

Some stands come with a mount that looks like a wall mount, ready to mount to the TV. If not then use the table top stand that came with the TV

Can I remove the stand off my haier flat tv to wall mount and if so how?

Depending on the production serie and the country in which it was sold the bolts that secure the foot stand are at the rear of it (4 of it) or at the bottom - 2 of them - you will have to put the tv flat down on a table to access them.

Picture remains for few seconds then screen goes blank, sound remains on

I had this problem on my 42" Philips LCD. Just got it yesterday and worked fine on the tv stand. As soon as I mounted the TV to the wall via wall mount system, I had the exact same issue you did. Figured it out today.

The wall mount was putting pressure against the center of the back of the tv (tv set had a slightly rounded back plate, and the mount was a flat plate). As soon as I put spacers (part of the wall mount hardware set) between the wall mount braket and the tv so there was no contact except at the mounting holes, the tv worked fine.

My theory is the pressure pushed the tv back plate against some board components which caused them to overheat (no air flow); or put pressure on internal connectors. I dont know.

Hope this helps, may not apply to your situation.

We just set up our 37 in sharp and get no picture

If this is a new set, return it for an exchange. This one sounds like an LCD set which uses a "back light". This back light is not working. This is a warranty repair or exchange.
