No Print My printer was working fine and all of a sudden it stopped printing. It continues to go thru the motions and noises and spits out paper, but no printing. I have checked and even replaced black cartridge just in case. What gives?

Inconsistent printing

In the printer's dialogue find the print pages number. Print page from/to and select 20 pages chunks. In effect print only part of the document at a time. Add all chunks together in one pile. Work around I know, but it works.

My dell printer goes through the motions of printing but keeps coming up with a blank page. I have reinstalled the printer, unplugged it to reset any codes, cleaned the cartridges with warm paper towel,...

Hi

Please try to add or set up the printer again and set it as default printer. and then try to print the test page.

If not, remove the cartridge and rub the print head into a plain paper with alcohol until inks flows on the paper. Return the cartridges and run the print nozzle for 2-3 times. Then try to print again.

How can identify if taht thing is a form of laser print not inkjet print?

First approximation - by weight :) Seriously :) Heavier will most likely be a laser printer :)

Apart from that, if the printer works, and when printing you hear something going back and forth inside, and the paper is going out gradually, it's an inkjet. If the printer gives a more-or-less continuous noise and the paper comes out after a while in one continuous, quick and smooth motion - it's a laser :)

Also if you open the covers, and find a big, bulky toner cartridge - it's a laser.

And the simplest to do - put the printer model name in Google and search for it's specifications :)

Deskjet 932C. Won't feed paper.

Make sure you inserting the paper not deep inside just insert and stop it when you feel any resistance .and try to print something. If it is print then well otherwise you have to show it service center.

HP LaserJet 3550 spits out blank paper when job sent from computer but prints fine when printing directly from printer

Try connecting the printer via the USB port on either one of the computers. Then test if the machine prints fine then likely possibility is that the Network interface card is faulty remove the network card and install in a different slot and test. If the same thing happens then reinstall the drivers and test.

Hope this helps

Wants to print but won't put ink on paper

I'm experiencing the same problem. I tried to troubleshoot through software that came with printer, but no luck. Here's what happens:

The printer worked great for a month or so. Then, I didn't use it for a few months. When I tried to use it again, it acts like it's printing. My computer shows it's printing, the printer runs through all the steps, including moving the print cartridges back and forth over the paper as it should, but no ink comes out on paper.

Any suggestions?
