Here is the link for the user manual if you need it http://www2.panasonic.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/vProdSupportModel?displayTab=R&surfModel=SR-LA10N&modelNo=SR-LA10N&storeId=15001&catalogId=11017&itemId=65851&displayServiceCenter=true# I think you may possibly cure this by pressing and holding start as you plug the unit in. also try pressing start and timer together when plugging in. If this doesn't help then unfortunately; Panasonic recommend that the unit needs to be serviced - you can contact them on 1-800-211-7262 for more details or online at http://www2.panasonic.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/vProdSupportContact?storeId=15001#email I hope this helps :)

I plugged the rice cooker in a live wall outlet but the lamps don't come up and the cooker does not work.

Hi,
You have a bad connection because the wiring has been bent around too much and has failed...this will not be repairable and you need to replace the cooker...

Here is a tip that I wrote about rice cookers and the amount of rice and water needed...

E01 Error

The rice cooker lid has to be closed and the dial knob has to be in the lock position (turing on the pressure lamp) before cooking can start. There are two tiny wires sending signal to the main controller to indicate that the cooker is in lock position. The wires are vey tiny and they can break over the years as a result of opening and closing the lid many times. When these wires are broken, the main controller cannot detect the lock position and will give E01 Error.
