Don't try that as the mirror almost never needs cleaning and MUST be cleaned with a special cleaner---leave a single fingerprint on that mirror (or a smudge) and it will stand out in the picture like a sore thumb.
How Can I Clean The Fingerprints Off The Screen On My TV?To clean fingerprints and greasy smudges off your TV screen, first try using a dry, anti-static cloth and rubbing gently. Note: Many Samsung TVs come with a screen cleaning cloth. Use that cloth and follow the directions on the package. If that does not work, get a bottle of ScreenClean screen cleaning solution or similar screen cleaner. You should be able to get it at most regular and on-line stores that sell monitors or TVs. Put a small amount of ScreenClean on a clean, soft, dry cloth, and then rub the screen gently. WARNING: Never use any type of window cleaner, soap, scouring powder, or any cleanser with solvents such as alcohol, benzene, ammonia, or paint thinner. Never use abrasive pads or paper towels. If you do, you can scratch the screen or strip the anti-glare coating off the screen and cause permanent damage.
Cleaning It Right
There are four steps you must take to do the job right:
Unplug your TV before you begin to eliminate the risk of electric shock.
If you use ScreenClean or a similar screen cleaner, put or spray the ScreenClean onto the cloth. Never put or spray it directly onto your TV screen.
Wipe as gently as possible. LCD, Plasma, and DLP screens in particular are fragile and can be damaged if you press too hard.
Let the screen dry completely before you plug the TV back in.
Food and DLP Screens
Getting sticky food such as peanut butter or jelly off the screen of a DLP TV is especially difficult because the tiny grooves in the screen's surface trap small food particles. In fact, you probably will not be able to remove the food entirely. If you need to remove sticky food from your DLP TV screen, follow the directions above, be patient, wipe gently, take additional time, and understand that you will almost certainly leave some food residue on the screen.
There are many ways to clean fingerprints off of a disc. This tip gives the most efficient and effective method.
First rinse the bottom of your disc with water or rubbing alcohol.
Then get a soft cloth (like one you would use to clean eyeglasses), and dry the disk.
When drying the disk rub from the center to the outer edge all the way around the disk. Never rub in a circle as it will make smudges on the disk. This method should leave your disk smudge and fingerprint free.
Apply gently pressure and use a soft lint free cloth to remove smudges and fingerprint. (avoid paper towels/toilet paper/tissues) as they can end up scratching the screen
You can use small amounts of distilled water or non-ammonia based cleaning products, do NOTspray directly onto screen instead lightly moisten the cloth and follow up with a dry cloth * ammonia and alcohol based products can often haze the screen often dimming the display
There are special products you can purchase that provide anti-static properties to help prevent the dust from accumulating. Check you local electronics outlet if your interested or go to the link below from amazon.
best buy (or other tech type store) sells a product specifically made to clean the screens on these devices without harm. don't try to use anyting else, especially alcahol based products
1. Buy a "lenspen". Available at amazon.com and adorama.com

my tv repair man said use a blackboard eraser and rub it on screen vertically - that is up & down only. He said to use no chemicals or cleaners, or you'll ruin it. He had a customer that had a child draw on it with crayons-he told her to leave it there because it's better than destroying the screen.
paulc846, There might just be a smudge or fingerprint on the lens, that's enough to cause that to happen to the center of an image. Get some lens cloth on a q-tip and try to gently wipe it clean. If the image is really grainy and the camera has recently been dropped the sensor is damaged. Let's hope for the smudge. randy320sgi
