Hi, I have a problem with a Technics ST-X302L Stereo Synthesizer Tuner - it's part of a 5 piece separates system (amp, cd, cassette, turntable & tuner) - all the other parts are powering on fine. I had to transport the whole system a few days ago by car and when I first switched system back on again the amp, cassette, cd and tuner powered on fine, and the turntable is also working when powered from one of the other separates (it's supposed to be powered from the tuner). When I first turned the power on the tuner display started flashing (like an E symbol I think) - I left the unit on for quite a while but switched off after a few hours when I noticed I'd left it on. Today I tried to connect all the cables and speakers and so on to get the unit working and the tuner display is not coming on at all. I've tried swapping the power cables as the power is connected between the separates and it's clearly not a fault with that cable as it powers one of the other units fine. In addition I've tried a separate power lead from a VCR directly from mains socket into the tuner and that didn't work either. Does anyone know of anything that might be happening with this tuner - could it be locked somehow or has anyone got any suggestions. Seems odd that it came on fine yesterday and now not responding today. Although I guess when things break they have to break sometime! I'd be most grateful for any advice or suggestions, thank you.

I have the same unit and a similar problem, after a fall of the tuner on the floor while i was cleaning my room, first times the st-x302l was powering fine but after some minuts it quit alone.. now (i dont know why) it remains on but if there is an interruption of electricity it dont turn on anymore, it turn on only by removing the metal chassis and moving random the electronics.. i think it has some electronic contact or circuit break.. i brought it to a specialist in electronics and he told me the reparation would be too expensive so i prefer to try fix it by myself.
