Invalid printer catridge reading

I have purchased4 non-samsung printer cartridge but all are coming up invalid cartidge. I was giviven a possible solution from the World class ink were I purchased them. They told me to go to the control panel and select printers and select printing preferences and then select options and and select "never show printing status. They said this would change my printer settings to recognize my non-samsung catridge. There was no selection for options with the path they gave me so I never really finished the steps to see if it would work. Any help would be appreciated.

Doing what the said shouldnt really make any difference it just wont display the message, with compatible cartridges it usually gives you a warning stating they aint original and you usually have to press accept to continue after each print for it to work,, Sorry cant help anymore John

I have Samsung CLX 3175 laser printer. Am getting invalid toner message although parts are genuine

Well, eventually I worked it out: The "contacts" are four square fields to the left on on the backside of the cartridge. And it works instantly. (I read somewhere that it needs to be fully transparent tape. The 'blurry' tape leads electricity and doesn't work.)

Change Cartridge Invalid Cartridge

First, Lexmark does not now or ever support the use of a third party cartridge or a refilled cartridge ink cartridge even if it is a Lexmark cartridge. Lexmark considers this to product tampering.

That said, please get a new Lexmark cartridge that is designed for your model of printer and see if it works. If you still get the failure, use a lint free slightly dampend cloth to wipe the contacts where the new cartridge goes. If that does not work, call Lexmark Technical support and see if there is still any warranty left on the printer.

Worst comes to worst, you can just replace the printer given the cost of ink jet printers nowadays.

After cleaning cycle ink cartridges are rendered invalid

I've had the same problem over the years and somewhere along the way came across this simple fix: when you get the "invalid ink cartridge" message turn the printer off, wait 10 seconds, turn it back on, when the screen switches from "please wait" back to "invalid ink cartridge" tap the pause button. this will somehow reset the printer and you should be good to go.
