The power led wires ( there are two) go onto the two pins on the top row of the front panel coonetcor block on the board, on the 1st and 2nd pins working from left to right.

The full connector block is wired as follows:

top row: left to right >>
1st& 2nd are Power LED, the 3rd & 4th are the power switch, the 5th is empty.
The bottom row: left to right >>
1st & 2nd are hdd light, the 3rd & 4th are the reset switch, the 5th pin has no connector to the pin
Note: the power led and hdd terminals are to produce a light when the pc is on and busy.If the lights do not show, turn off the pc, turn the connectors round 180deg, reconnect and turn back on again. Job done

Pls provide new processor's will match KOB 845GL NDSMx board

It uses a Socket 478 for an Intel Pentium 4 processor up to 400MHz. You are somewhat limited being this a older (in computer yrs) model. This is the fastest and for some reason the cheapest I could find.

Replacement for INTEL Desktop board D865GLC

I've found an Asus P4SD i865GV online:
http://www.geeks.com/details.asp?invtid=ASUS-P4SD-NOAGP-R&cat=MBB

It seems to have the same CPU socket, FSB and RAM types, and the chipset is almost the same model. I'd say this would work.

If you can't get that, just make sure to get a motherboard with the following qualities:

Front side bus (FSB): 800, 533, and 400 MHz
RAM type: Dual Channel DDR 400 MHz (PC3200), 333 MHz (PC2700), and 266 MHz (PC2100).
CPU socket: 478

How to connect front pannel

How about a picture? Pg. 46 in your manual.
Need manual, download from Intel. (Click on link).

Intel RC440BX Specification
Pg. 46
Basic rules case wiring. The color black is considered ground -. Power wires + can be any other color including stripped wires. (This is standard but case Mfg change to their own specification).

Pin 1 is + power for LED Hard drive green LED, Pin 2 is -/ground for Hard drive LED.
(Pin 3 is + power for LED Hard drive yellow LED, Pin 4 is -/ground for Hard drive LED).(See more options on pg. 47).
Pin 5 is + power for case On/off button, Pin 6 is -/ground On/off button.
Pin 7 is + power for Reset Switch, Pin 8 is -/ground for Reset Switch.
Once positive & negative pins has been located each connector follows in suit.

The Intel RC440BX front case connector is in an odd location.
The user will find it hard to connect front case LED connectors while the board in installed into the case.

Good Luck!

Mike
