Ok, I have her printer up and reinstalled, but the printing is still coming out purple and not as good as it was just last week. How do I run my printers nozzle cleaning utility? I put the printer cartridges in right and I have no clue how to deal with it. Please help me again.

Try rebooting your printer. If you have it connected to a network, it could be a conflict with another device. Power it off, wait a couple of minutes and try again. You may have to also unplug it from its power supply for it to reset/reboot properly. From there you may have to adjust your settings (maybe not). If so, just follow commands on the settings screen. Hope this helps!!! If so, please let me know by clicking on the green tag below.
Thanks & Good luck!!!
first try the print head clean mode.. if that doesn't work go to your windows control panel and click on printers...you may have to recalabrate your printer and may need to change what print mode you are in...last but not least reinstall your drivers for the printer it may have gotten changed when you installed a graphics program....and/or you might just need a new print cart.
Recommendation: Go the the manufacture's website and download the device driver and reinstall the printer. Make sure that the printer is on and connected to the computer before you run the download. Also when finishing installing the printer, print a test page.
If you have the windows disk for it , Save everything important to disks. Put WIndows disk into machine and tell it to install. It will find you version and ask if you wish to repair it, Say yes.
If you have Xp pro just "Restore" computer to the date before the problem started. If you have neither one. Save you work and then reinstall everything using your backup disks.
But you install the software precisley as instructed?
Remove all Epson software from the computer.
Do a disk and registry clean.
Come off line and disable the A/V software.
Disconnect the printer
Now reinstall from the disc and do exactly as the prompts.
Epson is very fussy in installing .

As far as why is it printing purple it could be several reasons but some common ones are; you?ve run out of a particular ink color, one of your ink jets could be clogged or damaged, your cartridge was refilled wrong and on occasionally a software driver gets messed up.
Reinstall your printer, do a test and if it still prints purple try running your printers nozzle cleaning utility. If that fails post another questions and give us some history, how long has it been since you?ve printed, are you using new Lexmark or refilled cartridges and any other pertinent information.
