Roper / Whirlpool dryer. No power / intermittent power.
I have a Roper RE7646KQ front load dryer. It has worked fine for three years. We recently moved and while I was installing it at the new house It would not power up. No light no heat no motor no buzzer. Nothing completely dead. Then suddenly the light would come on and it would work, but when I pushed it up against the wall it would be dead again. Cord is new and we have power all the way up to the terminal block and to the the timer. I took the top off the dryer and can find no burnt or broken wires or loose connections. The only two things left I can think of is the door switch and the timer. Am I missing something?

If you have 220v going to the unit you want to take the bottom pannel off. It should be three tork screwws. Then there is a little white fuse mounted on the blower houseing. This is the most common problem especally if your vent has not been cleaned in a while. (over 3-4 years.)
Your Roper dryer is made by Whirlpool, there is no reason to clean lint from around the heater, very little lint collects in that area. Every once in a while you can take the front off by removing 2 screws from under the lint screen, then pry up the top and there are 2 screws that hold the front on inside facing out. After removing the front you can vacuum inside below the drum.
