The copier makes copis but stops mid way and displays load correct paper in drawer. however, there is A4 size loaded in tray and the sensor guide is also set in A4. default copy size is also A4. any solutions?
First of all clean sensor on the left side it has black plastic over. You will se only actuator when you open the door, sensor is located benetah.
Check if last printed copy is "full" or there is some picture missing. If that is so, register clutch need celaningn or replacement. Try using MP tray, if same thing happens its register clutch issue.
Try to perform a hard reset for service mode .

Open your top paper tray drawer and there should be a dial on the on the tray drawer (light blue). On there is different paper sizes. Turn it until you get "Ltr" and the paper is going up & down. This should fix the problem. We just had that same problem today and that's what the tech person told us. (Also, this dial only turns in one direction to the left). MMc

I had same thing happen after a fresh Windows install. It was hard to figure out since it had been working fine until then, but luckily it is simple to fix. Open the Start Menu > Settings > Printers and Faxes folder. Then right-click on the Canon MF4100 Series printer and choose Printing Preferences. In there, change the Paper Size to Letter (instead of A4). You may also have to do this in the Print setup for whatever program you're using to print.

I had the same cr@p of the problem yesterday. The problem was not in
the paper. You have to do 2 simple things, from which one will solve
the problem.
first, download the latest drivers and install them.
And the more important thing, the problem occurred due to incorrect
paper format. Solution is very simple. Open MS word or something
similar, file->print.. and before you print open Properties menu.
There for the Output Size will be selected "Match Page Size". you don't
want that (i don't know why it doesn't work), but the solution is
manually select A4, or whatever your page size is.
