Cant get webcam to focus

Bought webcam sat was working until kids messed with it its all blurry and not focusing tried control panel nothine changed im new to computers have not got a clue thanks

Hi, only thing that i think it could be is, if you look at the front of the webcam, u see the circular part thats around the lens,it usually rotates left & right for the focus. hope it works.. John

1st You download Webcam Driver.

Radio Shack VGA PC Camera Webcam

After this install the Webcam driver in the system.
Installation of Webcam Driver
Go to the control panel
Click on the System Icon
Click on the Hardware Tab
Click on the Device Manager s
Select the Unknown Device or printer device where yellow Question Marks sign on it.
Right click on it and uninstall it.
After this go to the top of the device manager and click on scan for hardware changes.
Driver installation Wizard start.
Brows Your Driver from the Hard Disk and click on next.
Driver will be install.

Picture is all blurry it so i can be seen clearly

Hello,

The blurring problem might be due to out of focussing. The outer rim of your webcam is rotatable and can be used to set the focus of webcam.

You should turn on the webcam and rotate the outer rim surrounding the lens until you get a focused and sharp image.

Bought this webcam but picture in video mode is very blurry have bben into user manuals and tried all things but picture stays the same. evryone i cam with says the picture is blurry yet theres isnt

this is the manual website. it looks like there is a manual focus adjustment on the lense you may have tried this, but if you have not just turn the ring until it is focus. there is also a software setting, you can play with the settings or use automatic setting. hope this helps

Adjust the Focus: The Logitech Webcam C200 has a manual focus. It may need to be adjusted upon initial use, and from time to time, as bumping and moving the webcam may accidentally knock it out of focus.

1. Locate the knob that surrounds the camera lens (shown below).

2. Twist the knob clockwise or counterclockwise until the camera comes into focus.
Improve the image Quality:
To improve the image quality or avoid any type of blurriness from your camera please verify that the following:

You have good lighting in the area or room where you are using your C200.
Your computer has at least an Intel Pentium 4 (2.4 Ghz) processor and a minimum of 256MB RAM.

What would cause the image on a vx3000 to be blurry on either side of connection.im on xp,cable and other is on vista,satalite

Hi,
if your webcam’s image is not sharp, check to see if it has a focus ring. A blurry image can sometimes simply mean the webcam is not in focus. Adjusting the focus through the ring can solve that problem.
If it Doesnt work try to change video capture properties for webcam.Most of the programs have an option to access the properties of the video source which will bring up the video capture properties window. (Msn, Yahoo Etc.)

Its blurry

You may have a focus ring around the lens - if so start the webcam and try to find the optimum setting.
Otherwise you will have to uninstall the software and reinstall it again from the manufacturers support website
