Tone Pulse My inherited phone seems to be set on pulse instead of tone. Ie. I hear the pulses and not tones when I dial. I don't have a manual either. Help!!!! Thanks, Mike

1)Make sure the phone is OFF (not in TALK MODE) 2)Press and hold the PROG buton until you hear a beep. The TALK button will flash while in this mode 3) Presd the TONE (*) button to select Tone Dialing or press the PAUSE (#) button to select Pulse Dialing 4) Press the PROG button again. The unit beeps to confirm.

Yea.. this happeneded to me aswell.. here's what you do: (this is in the manual btw) TONE/PULSE SETTING 1. Make sure the phone is OFF (not in TALK mode). 2. Press the program button. 3. Press * tone button for tone or # pause for pulse selection. 4. Press the program button again. You will hear a confirmation tone.

I have a Serene CL-60AP phone. It receives calls but I can't get it to dial out. I hear it dialing like an old rotary phone but then the dial tone comes back.
You need to change the dialing mode to tone rather than pulse.

If you would like to know how to do this refer to page 26 of the instruction manual

Depends on what your telephone exchange accepts as a dialing signal. Strange thing is phone is factory set to tone but it seems to sound like your phone is on pulse.

The phone is pre-set for touch-tone use. To set to tone or pulse dialing:
1. Press and hold the Program button until you hear a beep.
2. Press the *tone button to select Tone Dialing or press #pause to select Pulse Dialing.
3. Press the Program button again. You will hear a confirmation tone.

Problems sending and receiving faxes.
  1. Open Lexmak Productiviti studio - 5600 - 6000 Series ( icon on Desktop)
  2. Open Setup and manage faxes link ( left bottom corner)
  3. On Ringing and Answering card look at the Manual Answer Code ( if some nuber inside delete it, it should be blank)
  4. On Dialing and sending card look at the Dial method (if you have a tone phone select Touch - tone, and if you have pulse phone select Pulse)
The diference betwen Touche Tone and Pulse is that Tone when you press nuber hear tone (like on cell phone), and Pulse when you dial nuber hear serie of short pulses (like when you dial nuber 5 you hear 5 short pulses like tttttt)
