jglendenning, If not into soldering irons, solder, meters, and electronic repair of "switch-mode-power-supplys/cold-cathode-fluorescent-lamp ballast-circuits" then trade for new unit! Retrevo .com lists K717s as time to retire unit. Before you do anything check out the longer and more useful video clips at YOUTUBE that deal with "lcd monitor disassembly" and "lcd monitor repair" FYI so you at least know what is inside a typical desktop CCFL back-lit LCD monitor. 99% use same basic design and principle of operation no matter what brand of unit you have or will purchase in future!!! The KDS has an 'OSD' ("on screen display").
Press one button on the front of the KDS to activate the OSD, and navigate through its various menu-items, to find the "reset" control.

power converter/supply bad defect contact manufactuer and ask for warrenty replacement

This is usually either a problem with the controller board or the actual LCD inside the display.

You should be able to find one of these monitors with a bad power board on eBay for cheap and just replace the guts of yours with the parts (minus the power board) from the 'new' one.

It would likely be better to just buy a new one if you are out of warranty.

This monitor can be wall mounted but I do not know what bracket you would use.

If you look on the back of the monitor you should see 4 indents in the sticker near the corners. If you don't then rub around near the corners of the sticker. With a sharp knife or pin you should be able to lift out these tiny stickers. You need to measure the distance between these on the horizontal, vertical and diagonal then you should be able to ask somebody at your local TV dealer for help locating the correct bracket.

I'm sorry i can't be more helpful.

The white screen tells me that the display cable (inside your monitor) may be unattached or broken.
The color bands if they are vertical or horizontal lines tell me that your display cable needs to be replaced.

So overall replace your display cable. If this doesn't entirely fix the problem your logic board (inside the monitor) needs to be replaced.
