Before you clean your printer head, try identify if there're other problems, for example maybe your ink is running low, this will cause bad quality printing. To clean your printer go to control panel, click printers and other hardware, click printers, right click on your printer icon and select properties, click on the tab maintenance and you will see what options are availible. In your case my look for something said cleaning. (NB: this is winXP)

Canon F60 Multiprinter printing random light lines.

I had a case just like yours where the printer wasn't in use for some months because there was a second, better printer to use instead. So when the abandoned one was to be used again, it was no longer salvageable. And I tried cleaning it and maintaining it doing everything in the book to make it work again but no matter what I did, it ended up in the garbage bin after all my wasted time and effort. I'm sorry. I wish I had better news for you but I'm speaking from experience. Yours might be a write-off too in which case you are better off to just buy a better one.

My Canon pixma ip 4000 won´t print. The light at the turn on button blinks five times orange and then comes one green blink. I have tried to clean the print head but that didn´t change anything....

this indicates a the print head is not installed correctly or is faulty.

if the green and orange is alternating 5 times then it is caused by the sheet feeder.

Canon S300 printer. 7 orange blinks, 1 green. I

According to the manual found here:

http://www.usa.canon.com/consumer/controller?act=ModelInfoAct&tabact=DownloadDetailTabAct&fcategoryid=330&modelid=6609

7 orange lights represents a bad print head, and the printer will need serviced or replacement. Since printers are so cheap lately, I would just go shopping. Hope this helps! Thanks!

Canon i550 LED error sequence: 7 orange +1 green flash

According to Canon 7 orange flashes indicates a print head fault. Solution they recommend is to take it to one of their service agents. Problem is that replacement print heads are not cheap and it is usually more economical to replace the printer. You could try taking the print head to a cartridge refiller and have it professionally cleaned (cost you nothing or next to nothing) and see if that solves the problem.

Cannon multipass F60 scanner/printer striped color printing

What you have is a dried up color cartridge. You can try to use the <clean print heads> in the diagnostic tools section of you priner software. (usually, just try to print something & the window will appear) Sometimes you have to clean heads, then print test page like 2 or 3 times before it clears up. If that doesn't correct it, don't worry. Have your color cartridge filled (staples, office depot, & other stores do it cheap) - or - replace it with a new cartridge. You may have to run the clean print heads program after installing a new cartridge, but this will definitely fix your problem.

Will not print

Remove and re-seat the print head. If need be the print head can be cleaned with hot water. YMMV but I've submerged my i850 print head for minutes at a time. Dry it off, blow it out, and it goes right back to work. Common problem if you're using non-Canon inks.
