Use the Restoration Disk. When asked choose Repair. (Non-Destructive Installation)
You are missing basic Windows files. Boot loader files. Also you may have to prepare to replace the harddrive. May have bad Sectors on it. Means I would copy off all personal information, after getting that laptop going again, or you may lose it.
for this you have to do a pc restore
first turn off your comouter
then turn it on but as soon as you turn on keep tapping the F10nkey continuously
then you will get a ssytem recovery options screen
please select dell factory image restore to on that
then proceed futher
but all the data will be lost
check DEVICE MANAGER if the wireless card have the right driver installed. if you found that the wireless card have yellow exclamation point on the right it means, you installed a wrong driver.
check also in BIOS if the wireless card is enable and the switch is turn on.
press Fn+F2 to enable wireless radio/anthena (funtion key with wireless icon in blue color)
some dell laptop have hard switch located right side check this and turn the switch on.
if you want to see the icon n task bar, go to control panel....network connection...right click on wireless adapter...select properties...check Show on taskbar
You need to go to www.support.dell.com and select "I'm looking for drivers and downloads". If you don't have the proper version of Adobe you will be prompted to install it. Once installed return to "drivers and downloads" and enter the "service tag", (serial number) of the 6000 laptop. Dell keeps a listing of drivers for every customer's computer they sell.
