I have been having a time with my hotpoint fridge. During an ice storm our power got knocked out for 12 hours, plus. When the power came back on, we had ice but no water. Talked to someone about it, they said to replace the filter (it was time anyhow), and the problem would be fixed. Well, it isn't. I figure there is some type of sediment blocking the hoses, or there is some trigger that needs to be reset. Any ideas here? Thanks guys-G HAmbone
I had the same problem. The hose connecting the water supply to the door was frozen. Just completely thaw out the freezer (which may be easier said than doen if it is full of frozen food!) and that should fix the problem.

If water comes from bottle at bottom of fridge, prob may be that the bottle is frozen
