My TV remote will turn the TV on and off but it will not perform any other funcions. I can not get to the device menu to connect to the DVD player. I have checked the DVD player and it works properly in other TV in the house and i have PIPed devices and it showes the picture for the DVD player but only on half of the screen. After several tries of the remote not responding, the TV will just turn off by itself. Please Help.
I was told that there is a short in the power supply, which needs to be built back up. The estimate for repair is $450. Is this reasonable? Thanks.
