You will need the model number - there are over 9,000 ovens that come up when you search Kenmore Ultra bake self-cleaning super capacity oven. Most of the Kenmore ovens have the model and serial numbers on the front frame. (Left front of the frame on the lower oven on a dual oven model - just open the door and the panel should be visible.)

It appears your door lock mechanism has failed in this instance.

First - unplug the unit for 40 minutes and re-try.

For replacement parts - head on over to PartSelect.com or RepairClinic.com and enter in your full model number for a full parts listing.
I recommend both sites because ...


FixYa has no affiliation with either site - I have been using and recommending them for years - trouble free.

PartSelect has a great schematic database for locating the part on your unit and great "testimonials" for each part that often times includes HOW-TO information.
RepairClinic has pictures of each part they sell and also a great how-to and troubleshooting for basic repairs.


If your unit has never been serviced - there should still be an original service manual enclosed in plastic taped to the inside of the shell.
In the service manual are Error codes, maintenance procedures, and troubleshooting steps you can follow.


Anything too complicated or beyond your scope should be handled by a professional.

Oven will not work,burners and broiler all work fine

Alram going off F-1
Disconnect for 30 seconds - if display reappears - replace control board. You either have a Shorted keypad, a Analog to Digital Failure, or a Safety flip flop. In any case all of these problems require a control board replacement. A defective control board is the only reason for an F1 code.

Smeg SUK61PX8_SS Dual Fuel Cooker Oven Light Randomly Flashes Stops Oven From Working Hi. We have a Smeg SUK61PX8_SS Dual Fuel Cooker. Since October when the weather is damp, the red oven lock light will come on and flash randomly. When it starts doing this the oven will not turn on because it thinks the oven door is locked when it isn't. We found a sort of solution was to put a ramekin of baking powder in there to possibly absorb any moisture, but that doesn't seem to help anymore. Can you help? Thanks.

Cook top element operation interupted by F760 code. GE profile range Model PCB 975 touchpad and/or control board have failed (no longer made) but stovetop elements were still working till F760 error code came up. When power is cycled the elements will work for 10 seconds until the Code F760 reappears. An audible click can be heard from the control panel as the code comes up and the elements stop working. Can anybody identify the relay that is being activated and tell me if disabling this relay will interupt the shut off of power to the elements by the F760 alarm? Figured it out. Thanks anyway.
