You will need the model number - there are over 9,000 ovens that come up when you search Kenmore Ultra bake self-cleaning super capacity oven. Most of the Kenmore ovens have the model and serial numbers on the front frame. (Left front of the frame on the lower oven on a dual oven model - just open the door and the panel should be visible.)

It appears your door lock mechanism has failed in this instance.

First - unplug the unit for 40 minutes and re-try.

For replacement parts - head on over to PartSelect.com or RepairClinic.com and enter in your full model number for a full parts listing.
I recommend both sites because ...

FixYa has no affiliation with either site - I have been using and recommending them for years - trouble free.

PartSelect has a great schematic database for locating the part on your unit and great "testimonials" for each part that often times includes HOW-TO information.
RepairClinic has pictures of each part they sell and also a great how-to and troubleshooting for basic repairs.

If your unit has never been serviced - there should still be an original service manual enclosed in plastic taped to the inside of the shell.
In the service manual are Error codes, maintenance procedures, and troubleshooting steps you can follow.

Anything too complicated or beyond your scope should be handled by a professional.

Oven will not work,burners and broiler all work fine

under the floor of the oven, possibly can be see by removing the bottom drawer. the ignitor is hte most common aprt to go bad in any gas oven, visually it might not even look broken though and some even appear to glow(just not strong enough to open gas valve

Alram going off F-1

Disconnect for 30 seconds - if display reappears - replace control board. You either have a Shorted keypad, a Analog to Digital Failure, or a Safety flip flop. In any case all of these problems require a control board replacement. A defective control board is the only reason for an F1 code.

sounds like you knocked a wire off something, theres1 module problably behind unit that controls all the clicking for entire stove, i would check there first

GE Oven door won't lock after oven cleaning. Error code is 483 F676. Oven serial # is : JGS650SEFSS My wife did the self clean operation on a GE Gas stove last night. Afterwards, the door is stuck in the unlock position and the red door light is showing on the panel. When I reset the circuit, the error code 483-F676 displays. I have read that F6 means a function key has shorted. I have also read it could mean the keypad and/or the control board need to be replaced. Finally, someone else suggested that it could also be a component in the back that controls the locking mechanism. I called GE and they would only tell me what F6 meant. No one would go beyond that because they wanted me to send out a tech. Can someone confirm what the entire error code actually means? Thank you for any help. Pete
