Question about Whirlpool Ultimate Care II LSQ9549L Top Load Washer

Lint trap I have a Whirlpool Ultimate Care II Ultra Quiet that I inherited from former owner of house. There must be a lint trap somewhere in the thing because my dark clothes come out covered with lint. Suggestions? Location of trap?

I am SO sorry. I did not say this is a washing machine! It is making me crazy! Thank you for this reply. The dryer I inherited w/the house is an old Kenmore.

There should be a rectangular flap on the top panel at the rear right of your dryer. the lint filter is in a chute if there is just a hole here then the filter is missing.

But what about clothing that does not go in the dryer? Some of the lint should be removed in the washer machine with the dirty water. So where is the lint filter in the washer machine?

Where is the lint filter on the Whirlpool Ultimate Care II washing machine? I’m getting massive lint on all my clothes.

it Has one but is supposed to be self cleaning. To access it, inner tub / basket has to be removed requiring a special scanner wrench to remove basket nut. Filter is on bottom of inner basket and can be manually cleaned or replaced.

Where is the trap?

You'll have to be a little more specific please. What kind of trap are you thinking of/referring to? Not aware of any type of "trap " on this model. Are you talking about some sort of lint trap? And what problem/s are you having with the washer (like what's it doing or not doing)?

Sour clothes smell from washer

Until you can find the filter (I'll investiate!) I suggest running it on hot hottest wash you can (empty) with just bleach. That at least should kill the bacteria that are causing the smell

HOW DO I CLEAN OUT THE LINT TRAP ? THE MACHINE IS @ 6 YEARS OLD AND NOW I AM HAVING SEWER PROBLEMNS CAUSED BY LINT FROM THE WASHER.

I did not fix the problem, I called a plumber and fixed the sewer. So I will still have a problem with the lint trap on the washer. It is supposed to be self cleaning, but I have my doubts.

Clothes covered in lint

You need a new timer. Reducing the cycle time will help the lint and not having a timer stuck on wash will help too.

Whirlpool Gold Ultimate Care II: No heat

didc, on a gas dryer, if the thermal fuse blows it will still rotate, but will not heat. Since this is a gas dryer, see if the ignitor is glowing. If it is, then you know the thermal fuse is good. If not, the thermal fuse may be blown or the ignitor itself and thus the reason for no heat. Catriver.7152136.jpg
