SOURCE: new hayward 1 HP super pump runs 1 or 2 seconds,

Check that the motor is set for the proper voltage. They are usually factory connected for 230V and if you have a 115V line feeding it the motor will overheat and cycle the overload as you describe.

SOURCE: I am replacing my Hayward 1 HP superpump. The old

It will not matter where you put the hot and neautral as long as one goes on line 1 and the other on line 2. Just be sure to reset the voltage indicator to read the 115V like before and your all set.

Testimonial: "Very good. Thank you very very much."

Hayward power flo leaks

If it is just dripping a little and it is outside don't even bother until to freezes up. The pool will evaporate much more water than is leaking through the pump.

magic lube and new o-ring. now put just a small amount on the o-ring and a little on the treads of the lid, do not over tighten ! that's the trick, the lube makes the lid over tighten,so just hand tight, take a marker and mark the lid so you know the perfect spot ever time you put it back on where to stop

All I want to do is find a replacement switch for my 1.5 hp pump motor. It is a hayward power-flo matrix, sp1515-z-1-esc

Please post the model and serial number from the motor. The number you have is the part number Hayward assigned to the AOSmith motor on your pump. I'll need AOSmith's info to get you pricing on the correct switch. Do you need the stationary only or the stationary and govenor?

I have hayward 1 h.p. pump cant get it to prime it will pump at a trickle it has to pull 3-4' rise to the pump is this to much height? or is my intake line clogged? or?

The rise is more than ok. You could have a plugged line or a plugged impeller or an air leak. I would look to the suction pipe coming into the pump and the lid and "O" ring on it.

Northstar 1.5 hp pump motor is always hot and shuts off for ten minutes aned comes back on. The voltage and amperage is good. What's the problem

It has an internal thermal overload protection device that is turning it off. Once it cools enough it will automatically turn back on as long as whatever switch or timer you have controlling the pump is in the on position. If you are certain it is not due to a voltage or load condition then it would seem the only other problem is mechanical.

In any case try a local electric motor repair shop.

WE have a EC50 system w/1HP matrix. Pump runs

Hayward Matrixs' have a one year warranty.

If it is tripping the circuit that is usually an electrical problem, and has nothing to do with the motor. Open up that back with the motor off and try to turn that shaft with a flat head, if it turns than it is an electrical problem; if it doesn't then contact Hayward directly for warranty information. Hayward is a pain to get ahold of but they are great about honoring their warranties.

The Matrixs' are fairly new and I have yet to see a shaft freeze up.

Water keeps coming out from under the lid of the pump

Replace the O-ring/re-lube it, if that doesn't work the actually strainer assembly may be warped, those come undone with the clip under the basket and just pop off - they are between $80-$100.
