Channel stuck on video1

Contact cable company for how to search for the code for the set--it can be done--you are paying for the cable and they will try to help especially if you are using their remote.

During a recent move the remote was lost. I have the 6420FF in my son's room and trying to set up dvd and wi console set up, but cannot adjust tv via menu button on tv. Is there any way to set-up game system and/or dvd without remote?

These are the codes printed in the owners manual for your dvd/vcr player.If they do not work you will have to contact Emerson and ask them for help getting the code. The contact number should have come with the instructions for the remote. Just give them the model number of you remote and the units model number and they should be able to help you. I believe if you just use your channel down button until you come to video1 (ect) I think that's it.

most universal remotes will not operate menu fuctions or allow input selections. try using channel down buttton on tv . go all the way down to channel two then go down again to see if video1 or 2 comes up. if not access menu functions on front panel go to input select enter in manually mch

• First make sure the audio (red &black) and video (yellow) are plugged into their respective color matching inputs on the TV monitor.
• Second either using the TV remote contol or TV's builtin control panel set the tuner mode to video. Depends on which TV's input terminal you connect the DVD player; that's where the Video mode has to be assigned.
• For example: if you connect them to video1, set the tuner to video1. changing the channels up or down will never set it to video mode. You must press video button to change the tuner from regular channel mode to video mode.

sanyo ds35590 no remote, tried universial remote still cannot select menu on uvm. What remote do I need? Or can I get into the menu without remote. I am trying to watch a dvd.

Yippie, I figured out a solution that worked!!! I have a univeral remote from comcast, on that remote near the bottom left is a small button that says (input) tv/vcr, press that one time and whala!! the tv video screen was gone, I had to manually change the channel from the tv channel button on the unit. once I changed the channel to 3, my universal remote worked... the button is the second one from the bottom left... I was on hold with sanyo for a long time and just kept trying on my own, so good luck!!!!

You can purchase an RCA universal remote that will let you access the A-V inputs. These only cost about $10.00 or so. Stargazer

You have to use the input selection button. Example like video, video1 video2, aux etc...
