I have an RCA RT2360, and everytime I try to turn it on, it will say Overload, and not turn on. Is there a solution for this??? Thanks for your help, please email response to [email protected] Brian
Check the speaker wires going to the back of the unit. Any stray wires that cross can and will cause overloads to the audio output IC's. Make sure the wire strands are twisted tightly and then inserted into the spring clips.

This unit uses 6 discreet transistorized outputs. There are no audio IC's except in the main board. You just stated common problem. I have one, the audio is weak, I suspect a regulator bad. Does anyone have a voltage chart or schematic for this unit? The display is dimming but I figure that due to age of the unit. Having cracked the cover I see it has seperate amplifiers for each of the channels as well as subwoofer. My problem is that the unit has very weak audio, which is something in the pre-amp stages. All the audio adjusts ok, but it is like the unit is partially muted. At full volume it is just about usable. The headphones come off the preamp stages, so they are also low in volume, so the main amps are just fine. I am thinking it may be a low voltage from one of the regulators (there are about 4 of them) present in the system to cause this. If I could figure out perhaps a zener diode issue? then it might live again.
MFD 2005 ish..
