When my son gets to a certain place in lego batman the game freezes and the only thing we can do is turn off the system he has a few games but this is the only one we have problems with is it something he did or is it the game itself anyone know ?
Princesselis' solution for PC worked for my Wii. When you load up the game, go to options, and change the video settings to vertical (v) sync from off to ON. Works!! Thanks so much!
For PC solution. If you go to video settings and change the Vertical Sync from default off to on the glitch is repaired. My son was always crashing the game on part 2 of Two Face Chase. Switched the setting and he has made it through all levels of hero and villain. It is a shame this information was not made known more publicly. I hope this is the solution to your problem. If you are running a 128mb graphics card change all your settings to the minimal and it should work fine.
We had freezing occurring during Flight of the Bat in Lego Batman for the Wii. Enabling Vsync in the options menu at the start of the game seems to resolved the issue. We assume it is helping the graphics chipset (with heat) by reducing the work it has to do. (The game seems to have the same responsiveness with vsync on.) BTW, other parts of the game play fine with vsync turned off.
My wife and I have the same problem, we can get two cars then it freezes. Continues to do it even after we switched settings as suggested.

I have this happen at the very beginning of the game (after the opening movies). Usually 10-15 seconds after play begins. I am on the Wii.
same thing has happened on the third level of episode 1 when getting the trucks carried off by the helicopters
I have the Lego Batman for PC and have the same problem. I make it to episode 1, chapter 3. Once the first segment is completed and the second is loading to begin the entire application shuts down and does not save progress. Help?!?!?!?!?
We have the same problem when we are towing the trucks as well. So far it's happened twice in different places in this level. Very frustrating for me and my son.

Pretty sure this is a glitch with the game. We have the game for xBox.
We get a "disc unreadable" error at either when loading the game or

It is not the xBox. We cleaned the disc. It's not the disc. We rented
another disc from Blockbuster, same problem in the same place. We
exchanged our original game for a NEW game. EXACT SAME PROBLEM. The
game is faulty. The developer should recall or refund people's money.
The game plays fine until Two Face Chase. We can get two of the trucks but then the game freezes and makes a loud buzz. All we can do is turn it off. Any suggestions please, can it be fixed or is there a way around this?

I have the same problem, it allows me to complete level 1 then makes a loud buzz and freezes. I own it for the PS2, I exchanged the game for a new one, same problem. I have tried alternate memory cards and tried it on a friends PS2 - same problem. Can anyone help?
