Question about Apple DVD Studio Pro 4 for Mac

1 Answer

Burned DVD will not play

DVDs burned with Studio Pro will play on the MacPro that they were burned on, but no other computer even recognizes the disk.

It seems that the problem is because the file was exported in 1080i60 and though StudioPro was set to SD, it burned the DVD in HD, which was not recognized by other computers.

I still have not found the correct Final Cut setting for exporting this HD project in SD, so that the image does not appear squished.

    Any advice?

Try burning it with another burning software like Nero, sometimes studio pro burns in an extention assigned to this particular macpro, try other type of DVD discs too, it will work eventually

My Dell 1737 DVD/CD drive won't recognize DVDs or burn DVDs but will play select CDs fine. Solutions? Thanks, Jeff

Hi, pretty much the codec is not installed on the computer and I think that's the reason why the system can't read DVD. Try to download the right codec for your PC.

You could try VLC player. Here's the link:

http://vlcplayerdownload.org/

Or you can also try installing a codec. Here's the link:

When using CDBurnerXp burning DVD video's from ISO files, the resulting DVD often does not play properly on a DVD player. Sometimes the sound breaks up, sometimes the picture pixelizes like interference,...

I haven't used that particular program, but I've made hundreds of DVDs. The first rule is to use good brand name media, I recommend Verbatim. Pixelation is a sign of poor quality media quality.
Give it a try with Verbatim disks.
