Stilleto 2 error message

When turning on device a error message pops up then the device shuts down. This keeps happening not allowing the device to actually start. Is there any way to restart or return device to original settings?

After working for 9 mos. (and replacing my S50 because of a similar problem), my Stiletto 2 while in the car dock will turn on with the ignition, display the dog on the screen, and freeze there. If the key is removed, the unit doesn't shut down like it normally would. I've gotten it to start a couple of times by taking the battery out and leaving it dormant for a couple of hours, but after listening to maybe 2 minutes of radio, it makes a CD skipping sound (same note over-and-over), then the error screen, then off. Restart? Goes to the dog again. I have a warranty, but what is annoying is the fact that I listen to the library at the gym, and now I have nothing to listen to. I don't think there's much I can do but get it replaced.

Reloaded software on mine. It didnt work. The reboot loop issue as I call it started after I accepted an update for the unit online when it was plugged in for a music update.
Sirius tech support was useless. In the end I lost all of my music and the unit is now just an MP3 player...it is useless as a radio. I cancelled all three radios on my subscription! THEIR update ruined my working unit...and they did nothing for me! They offered me 2 months free! LOL with no radio working! Then when I cancelled my radios, they offered me 3 months free!!! WTF 2 months for a ****** off customer, 3 months for a resigning customer!

Truthfully, you will be better off just sending it back for a new one.

I have a gateway nv79u and it wont stay on for more than 30 mins. It keeps shutting off with error code 41 kernal-power.

Hi Michael,

Kernel Power - Error Code 41 often times caused by conflicting drivers. If you are trying to play a game or watching videos then the computer suddenly turns off, you must first check the following:

1. Open Device Manager (click Start > type Device Manager) and go to Sound, Video, and Game Controllers and see you have two audio drivers installed and disable one at a time and see if it fixes the issue.

2. Boot into Safe mode (press F8 continuously upon boot up) and see if the computer still shuts down there. (If it doesn't try disabling start-up items using this guide

3. If you're pop-up error messages like "System services cannot be started" upon boot-up, you're operating system is corrupted and must be restored to default settings. (you need to press F11 upon boot up - remember to backup your important files)

3. If Step 2 above is true, check if the computer is overheating. If it does, the computer needs to be serviced. Contact gateway support at 1-800-846-2000.

Cheers.

Stilleto 2 keeps shutting down

It may be a problem with the power switch, I too had this problem. It seems like the power switch is stuck in "down" position as if you were holding it. I remove my battery cover (along with the battery) and gently jiggle the switch up and down to "loosen" whatever may be sticking it in place and it seems to work. I have encountered this problem several times. I did not send it out for repair. It works fine for me (knock on wood).

Pavilion dv7 keeps shutting down

  • This may not fix your issue but its worth a try ...let me know how it goes
  • If the computer appears to shutdown and then attempt to restart without displaying an error message, do the following to disable the automatic restart on error setting.
    1. Click Start , right-click Computer , and then select Properties .
    2. Click Advanced system settings , grant permission to continue if prompted, and then click the Advanced tab.
    3. Click Settings in the Startup and Recovery section of the Advanced tab.
    4. Deselect the Automatically restart checkbox under System failure .
    5. Click OK to close the Startup and Recovery window, click OK again to close the System Properties window, and then close the Control Panel window.
    6. Restart the PC.
Disabling the automatic restart setting allows time to view the error message that displays on the screen. Contact the manufacturer of the program or device that is causing the error for specific information about the error message.

I try to connect to my internet on my psp it says : An internal error has occurred error 80410a0b

You may need to do what is called a hard boot. Without shutting it down, pop the battery out and wait five minutes. Pop the battery in and try it again. Sometimes you may just need to keep hitting refresh or make sure the WEP Security code is correct.

Canon 450D, ERROR 99 only when flash pops up

Err 99 usually means your lens contacts are dirty either on the lens itself or on the camera.

To isolate the cause of the issue, do the following: -
    1. Turn off the camera.
    2. Remove the lens, battery, and CF card.
    3. Allow the camera to sit without power for approximately 20 minutes.
    4. Insert only a fully charged battery, and turn on the camera.
    5. Depress the shutter button as you would to take a picture.

Does the “ERR 99" message appear? If so, the camera may be faulty and requires a service. If it does not, then: -
    1. Turn off the camera.
    2. Insert the CF card.
    3. Turn on the camera.
    4. Format the CF card in the camera.
    5. Depress the shutter button as you would to take a picture.

Does the “ERR 99" message appear? If so, then the CF card is faulty. Try a different card. If the message does not appear: -
    1. Turn off the camera.
    2. Clean the gold contacts on the lens by GENTLY rubbing them with a pencil eraser or soft cloth. Keeping the camera face pointing down, also clean the gold contacts on the camera, being careful that you do not let any debris fall into the camera body.
    3. Reattach your lens.
    4. Turn on the camera.
    5. Depress the shutter button as you would to take a picture.

If the “ERR 99" message only appears when one particular lens is attached, then that lens should be examined by a service technician.
If you see the “ERR 99" with a different Canon lens attached, then the camera is faulty and should be serviced.

C:32:11 message flashes, cassette eject won't work, camera doesn't work

Just had this problem myself... called Sony. Here is what I did to fix this:

    1. Turn off power
    2. Open the LCD Display
    3. Press "Reset" with paperclip/pen
    4. Unplug ANY wires connected to the camcorder
    5. Eject battery
    6. Plug in DC charger
    7. Power on
    8. Attempt to eject tape
    9. At this point, the metal tape holder comes out but refuses to open... slightly "close" the portion of the camcorder that has the button to eject the tape, and then open it fully again (you'll hear a click, this signals the device that the 'hatch' is open and to eject).
    10. The metal door *should* pop out and allow you to withdraw the tape.

I've tried 4 different cassettes and about 2 seconds after hitting play, I get the error every time... my solution: Not going to try to play my tapes on the camcorder anymore... will find another player to play Hi8 MP cassettes. Unknown if able to record to tape as of yet.
