Mute How to unmute my pioneer DEH-P6500 cd player?

    I need to know which cable is the mute cable. I may have hooked that up in error.

Do you have anything hooked up to the mute cable? if not make sure you have black tape around the open end

The security code for my pioneer deh-p6500

This deck doesn't come with a secuirty code installed, the 1st owner must install the code, so there is no way to know what that code may be. Are you the 1st owner? Call Pioneer and see if there is a way to get around this problem. They may ask for proof of ownership.

Display flashing on my deh-p6500

It has what is called reverse mode which flashes to protect the display to turn feature off please follow these steps.
Press the 5 numbered button when power to this unit is turned off while the ignition switch is set to acc or on will cancel the reverse mode and stop the flashing. Hope this helps.

Cellular mute button

The yellow/black wire at the back of the head unit may be grounded. Make sure it's not pinched or shorting on anything.
