If you turn the laptop over there are usually 1 or 2 panels you can unscrew. unscrew them and take the old chips out by pulling the tabs on either side of the chips outwards. installation is the reverse of removal, they should just slide in.

SOURCE: INSTALLATION OF WINDOWS 7

This is probably not going to be the answer you are expecting ... it remains a good answer and a reasonable reply to your question.

Before you do anything else ... consider these two items ...

1) If there is something physically wrong with your computer - get it repaired before you invest $200.00 in installing a new OS on a machine you can't use.

2) Check the Microsoft Hardware Compatability List to see if your laptop is Windows 7 ready http://www.microsoft.com/windows/compatibility/en-us/default.aspx

There is a similar Toshiba site you should investigate. Find it here: http://laptops.toshiba.com/windows7upgrade-learnmore

If your machine is listed on the hardware compatability list with no special notes, you will not need anything else to run the computer. If your computer is NOT on the list, Windows 7 will NOT run on your computer ... shaking or not.

I hope I have helped you with your question today ...

SOURCE: wat 2 do if i ve inbuit windows 7 and want 2

You have to format your hard disc.
Place your purchased verion of Win7 into the DVD drive. Power up the laptop and boot from the DVD.
In the menu, select "Install fresh System" and let it format the drive.
That will sort out your problem.

SOURCE: i've installed windows 7 in my toshiba

I think the problem is that the A300 is a discontinued model and if I am not mistaken there is probably no windows7 drivers for the camera istalled on that model, perhaps using an extrnal cam is another solution. good luck

Sounds like you need to stick with Vista. Believe me, Windows 7 is just a tab bit better, but you'll have problems with it.

I want to install microsoft word program

In order to install the Microsoft Word program, you will have needed to purchase the Microsoft Office Suite. The Microsoft Windows 7 Professional Upgrade is just the operating system's upgrade. The Microsoft Office Suite contains Word, Outlook, Excel, Onenote, Powerpoint and a few other database softwares. You can purchase Microsoft Office from Amazon (the cheapest price I've found) for $119. The URL is:

I have a ACEer 5315 model no ICL50 running Windows Vista. To say Vista is **** is an understatement. I want to switch to Windows 7 but guess I will need a lot more RAM for this. Can I upgrade Ram on this...

Hi,
I recommend that you switch to Windows 7 without upgrading your RAM. Windows 7 is a lot faster, better and uses less RAM than Vista. Recommended RAM for running Windows 7 is 1GB but I have installed them on a Centrino 1.5GHz with 768Mb of RAM and they run perfectly.
So make the upgrade to Windows 7 anyway and if you feel that you need more power then you can get more RAM.
Also, download Windows 7 upgrade advisor to check if your pc is compatible. Download upgrade advisor here.

I am trying to install AutoCAD 2004 on my new computer with windows 7 and wont install. Any ideas?

AutoCAD 2004 and Windows 7 are NOT compatible. You will need to upgrade to AutoCAD 2010 either 32-bit or 64-bit. Even with the upgrade, there are known limitation issues.

Just need to know what model of RAM I need to upgrade. I ran the Windows 7 memory test and it stalls at 21% and tells me there's a hardware problem.

Their might be many issues when windows 7 could not be installed successfully.

However to answer this question this computer has 3 RAM installed (512 MB each). So it has 1.5GB installed

For installing Windows 7, a minimum of 1 gigabyte (GB) RAM (32-bit) or 2 GB RAM (64-bit) is required.

More information on system resquirement for WINDOWS 7 upgrade is available on:
