Question about iRiver H10 MP3 Player

1 Answer

Freezing during Synchronization

There are certain CD's that I try to sync with my iRiver H10, but it reaches a track (it varies each time), says 100% for copying, and freezes. I have to unplug it and reset it, and the tracks before it froze are available only through the browser. This happens consistently with some CD's, and only once with others.

This link at thw bottom will let you check for operating software updates - try this and see if it solves your problem. If not, try ripping your cd's first using a media player or dedicated ripping program (there are many) (my recommendation is windows media player, but set rip type to mp3 not wma) then try to sync with your h10. If this doesn't work then make sure that all the tracks you are trying to sync at the same time are in only one directory with no subdirectories or non-audio files http://www.iriver.com/html/support/download/sudw_view.asp?searchProductIdx=61&searchCategoryIdx=&searchString=&page=1&idx=739&tmpSearchProductIdx=&tmpSearchCategoryIdx=&tmpSearchString=

Iriver won't let me upload from CDs and transfer....

Best way to use the H10 20gb is by creating a directory on your hard drive with your desired mp3 format files. Use ripping and encoding software with your existing audio cds.
Connect the h10 to the PC via the UMS trick (see this website).

Using a file directory on your pc, drag and drop the mp3 files from your pc to the MUSIC file folder on the h10. Install and run the EASY10 playlist creator software on your pc to organize the new files on your iRiver player. Disconnect the USB connection and enjoy!

Iriver h10 6gb sync issues

Try this: disconnect the player from the computer, turn it off, hold in the volume + button, and reconnect the player to the computer while holding the volume + button in. Keep holding the volume + button for an additional 5-50 seconds. Windows should eventually go into recovery mode and revive the player- it will pop up a window that says Found New Hardware Wizard
