Laptops are poor candidates for upgrades, as they are built with such tight confines as to make many parts rather inaccessible. For the normal laptop, there are only three things that you may consider upgrading, and the CPU is not one of them. CPUs are often hard installed on mainboards and the BIOS in the mainboard is often customized for a specific one. Even where you may be able to upgrade, the upgrade option is usually not of sufficient difference to make the cost and effort worth it. You can usually upgrade the hard drive to something larger in capacity and faster in speed. You can upgrade the RAM to the maximum that the laptop allows (most do not come with the max originally to keep the cost lower). You can upgrade the Operating System and software when applicable for better performance. Graphics upgrades, for the most part, are not available, except maybe for some of the newer, higher-end gaming laptops. Most have the graphics integrated into the mainboard and most graphics share the system RAM. Hard drive and memory upgrades can usually be performed thru access doors on the outside of the case. I've seem a few instances where one of the memory modules was tucked internal to the device and it was necessary to remove the keyboard assembly to access it. I've never seem a laptop with more than two memory module slots.

RAM or memory is a physical component that needs to be installed in your laptop/notebook.

If you are technical enough to do this, you just need to purchase the exact memory module compatible for your laptop and install it yourself. Or, it will be better if you can have a local technician from a local computer shop install it yourself to make sure that it's installed correctly.

You can upgrade your ram which will access your files much faster and increase the overall speed of your netbook.

At the back of your laptop after you turning upside down then gently unscrew the screw that is holding a small path covered then loose the screw and you find them in their slot ok gently pull the two metal clip side ward and it flip out then replace it ok

If the ram is upgradeable, there should be an access port on the bottom that can easily be removed. Open all access ports until you find the one for ram. Then you should be able to upgrade the ram.

Please remember when installing RAM to be concerned about electrostatic discharge and wear a ground strap or at the very least touch the outside of your case before the inside to discharge any residual static electricity and be very careful with internal components. Please be sure you are comfortable enough with these components especially memory modules because damage to the motherboard and/or the modules retaining slot/clips can occur very easily.
