Hi im trying to find the number of the remote for a lg 50px4d plasma tv

For a 50PXDR-UA (is simular to your TV) the remote part number is 6710V00141T and the retail price is $43.88 from LG.

You can use any 2005 and newer LG remote because the common controls are the same. The newer remotes may have functions your TV does not and that is OK.

I have A LG 50PX4D TV the display has gone off

Most likely the tv has a power supply related problem. The most common thing to go out is the circuit board that supply power to the screen. Commonly called a Backlight Inverter Board.
I can't say it's 100% the problem because I can't actually look at the tv over the internet.
If its under warranty, go that route.
If not under warranty and If you have some electronic experience, you can purchase a Service Manual over the internet and diagnose the source of the problem and fix it. The Service Manual will give you circuit diagrams, test points, and part# lists. Usually, cost under $20.

This is a very common problem with model. This problem is your Z sus Board. NOT your power supply, or Y sus board. There is a pair of Diode that goes bad. Your only solution is to change your Z sus Board. Part Number 6871QZH036B average cost $237.00
