Question about Lexmark X4270 All-In-One InkJet Printer
The color and black ink indicators both show full cartridges, but the color will not print and sometimes the printer will act like it is printing but there will be nothing on the paper...black or white. All tapes are off of the cartridges...The printer was uninstalled and reinstalled.
Actually your printhead on the cartridges is probably clogged. I usually take the cartridges out, wet a paper towel and put in a dish and put in microwave for 20 seconds, then put the cartridge printhead on the paper towel for 10 seconds, and then blot with a dry towel. You should see the various colors in the color and black cartridges. Do it several times until ink in freely flowing. Put back in printer and run a clean cycle and try printing normaly. How may times did you use the printer to print befor this happened? If you used it a lot then you may need to buy more ink. My printer showed full ink and it turned out that they were empty.
