PT-45LC12 wont power up

I have a pt-45lc12 that is about four years old. when I try to start it up, the green light will flash for about 10 seconds, then switch back to red without the picture coming up. you can hear the fan start up as well, and a faint clicking sound. I never got a message that it was time to change the bulb, and I cleaned the filter regularly. any suggestions as to what might be the problem? Thank you. Greg

You have a bad lamp. The "clicking" sound you hear is the ballast (lamp power supply) attempting to start the lamp. The warning on Panasonics that comes up on screen does so when the life expectancy of the lamp is approaching. Otherwise your "clicking" sound and the red light on front are saying bad lamp. When you replace the lamp remeber to follow the instruction that Panasinc provides with the new lamp on restetting the lamp timer. This is usually done with the volume down on the TV and the PIP button on the remote.
