I've just been on a trip away and have (I assume) filled up my 4GB SD card as when I try to take another picture it says 'Memory Card Error'. When I look at the photos I've taken on the camera most of them show up but some of the ones taken in the middle won't show up, it just says 'Unidentified Image' is there any way of being able to get these photos?

Sounds like the camera does not support SDHC. Check manual to see if this camera supports high capacity SD cards.

we have just experienced both of the above problems. We are using 2G SD card from Kingston. After about 400 pictures set to mdeium resolution we get many pictures with the ? mark unidentified image. I see that each image takes up about 2M of space but the image information is not stored so you can not open the file. Also other images have the shaded problem as above.
does anyone have any ideas about this. Is it the camera or the SD memory? We just bought the camera about 3 weeks ago and are now thinking of returning it

I get a memory card error everytime I insert a memory card. They are not locked and I have tried 4 different memory cards and nothing works. How can this problem be fixed?

iPhoto is for still pictures. iMovie is for videos. Use a card reader to download your videos to a folder you create on your desktop. From there, you can import to iMovie or just play them using Quicktime.
Testimonial: "Spot on... problem sorted. It seems iphoto is happy to load short clips but longer vids are too much so quicktime was the solution. thanks :-)"
