HELP!!!!! My sound stopped working and the volume setting won't even show up when I try to the volume up or down. I have tried it with cable hooked up to the tv and also with a DVD/VCR player and without. When I press the menu button it doesn't show up either but the channel setting is working fine and the tv turns on and off and the picture is still great. HELP

If the problem happens when you use your remote, you have some bad buttons on it. If you can't adjust the sound from the front control panel then you have a problem inside your tv. If this is so then you'd need to have it checked out by a technician. Stargazer

Some of their very old sets the video input was located on channels in the 90's; Try scrolling down from 99 to 90 to see if you locate the video input; this is just the way they did things in the older sets.

hi, i re cently got the same sound box, berringer. for my notebook, that had a failed onboard realtek sound. you do have to get the drivers on the berringer home page-for the device to work all the way. the pic you show looks like it's the uca-202. was the sticker on the sound box missing?? and it could be a problem with the realtek program in. berringer offers alot of free software. you need the ASIO driver for that box. this should help help,as it did for me.if you need more help feel free to ask. glen. the sound box is not 2 bad! and once you get the asio driver installed, it will sound better and more volume!

Cable Set-Top Box remot won't change sound vol. Only TV Rem. does

They volume indicator you are seeing is meant to show the volume of content if it were to be recorded on the cable's dvr. This indicator has no effect on the volume of content as it is being watched. This feature allows recording of sound at a set volume even while the tv is off. It sounds as though you'll just have to use the volume buttons on your tv's remote, though you might want to try seeing if there is alternative set-up for those cable volume buttons.

No sound on my phillips 42

Hook it up with component cables plus L&R analog audio. Make sure the Speakers are not turned off in the settings. Unplug, wait 30 sec's. or even overnight. If still no sound, try cable or air/rabbit ears on the internal tuner. If nothing, bad main board. $350.00 from Andrews.

Too loud

I am assuming you do not have a "surround sound" system hooked up to your digital cable box, and that you have your TV volume turned down all the way and have not yet tried to adjust the volume on your new digital cable box. It might be worth a try to unplug your TV for about 15 seconds and try again. If the above is true and you can still not lower the volume through the cable box or the TV set, then I would have the cable people stop by to check it out.
