Question about Pioneer DV-260 DVD Player
I had recently altered my DVD player settings to the ablities of a new HD Plasma TV. I have since returned the Plasma TV and switched back to my standard television that I was using with the DVD player, originally. I switched from S Video to Component Video and utilized the Progessive scan capabilities as well as the 16:9 viewing settings with the Plasma set-up. I forgot to change these settings back before returning the Plasma, and now through S Video, I receive a blank screen on my old TV. I can't change the settings back if I have no image to view the on-screen menu with. .... I'm stumped.

That's it!!! You've done it! Thank God for the Internet. I was close to throwing my DV-260. That GD manual said hod the Stop button and turn back on, not the << button. Yes!

Ok folks, I've found it......turn the unit off.....press and hold the << button on the unit....should be the button closest to the power button....then power the unit on....that's all there is to it....as it turns out, before you set the unit to "progressive scan" it warns you about that and tells you how to reset it...

Try pressing PSCAN button on the remote and it will change the display settings automatically. Keep pressing the button until problem solved. Thanks alot Patrick

I have the Pioneer DV-260 DVD Player and I have the exact same problem. But I was tinkering with the resolution settings or whatever and set it to like 1200x800 or something and the screen went blank, I was gonna hook my new LCD 42" up to it, but it's still not working on the new TV. I still can't see a picture and I don't remember the button sequence to change it back and my remote doesn't have a PSCAN button on the remote. Also the DVD player is starting to get picky with the DVD's it wants to play, especially with the newer movies. The scanner sometimes wont even run (I cant hear it even try to read), Probably is just getting old, but I would like the picture back to hook up in another room or have as a spare, It is like 4 years old now but I keep it dust free and in good condition and didn't use it a whole lot. Thanks in advance for any additional help.

I have set up router with my computer so that I can receive Y-FI so I can access the internet on my Plasma tv; I set it up and I got an error message that I had to hook up something to the TV in order to receive the wireless technology; I've even had friends try to help me; Could you shed some light on this please??
