The filesystem appears to be corrupted. Try right-clicking the drive's icon, going to Properties, Tools and Check Disk. If that doesn't help the partition that holds the data may be unreadable, and if that happens try asking a data recovery service if the data is important.

try a hard drive recovery program,like partition magic or hirens repair disk,some flash drives need to be formated in fat16.not fat32,or ntfs,your computer cant do that,but the right software can,good luck hope this helps

You can Reformat the system and REMOVE all partitions. Windows setup will create a new partition from available drive space. If you need to save your data,You can also use a utility like partition Magic and resize the partition. There is a trial version available at no charge. just google "partition magic"

yea you may, but make sure that you have already created a *Ghost* image of your current setup.

All you need is a bootable CD with some utilities which will help you out.

Try "hiren's Magic Disk 9.5" : it is bootable disk with proper menus and lots of utilities to make you king of your system.

This disk is usually used by System professionals (including me) :)

Instructions:
1. Boot your system with this magic disk
2. Goto Clone Disk option (Ghost disk)
3. Choose Best compression version
4. utility will start Symantec Ghost which will ask you for the source partition and destination partition for making images.
5. proceed with proper answers.
6. once the ghost imaging is complete, store this ghost image in your external storage drive
7. again boot your system with this magic disk
8. goto Partition utilties
9. Select Acronis Partition manager
10. You'll love to use this software for hard disk maintanence.

YUP! this can be fixed. if u r runnig on XP the best software for this would be Partition Magic or if u r on Vista then Paragon Partition manager

The card I have always been using is now also suddenly giving this message. I found an old SanDisk 16MB and a 1GB SanDisk that works perfectly in my Boss 864 and they also give the same message. Trying to go into formatting brings the message "no card!"
