My red lamp light came on solid. I purchased a lamp unit online and it worked fine for about a month. Now I ocasionally get a solid red lamp light. I am able to get the TV to come on by unplugging it for about 15 minutes then plugging it back in and doing a reset or two. Is this a bad lamp or is something else going bad??? The original lamp lasted 2 years 3 months. My software version is .01 .
Thanks
I have a similar problem. I was getting a message to replace the lamp for about 1 year before I actually replaced it. My t.v. shut off one day and a blinking red light was on the display. So, then I ordered the new lamp and replaced it. It was working fine for a few days then shut off again and the blinking red light started again. I unplugged the t.v. for a few days and after that it would turn on and work for a week before it would shut off again. Could the problem be the lamp? I also thought it may be the capacitors? Or could it be something else?I have a similar problem. I was getting a message to replace the lamp for about 1 year before I actually replaced it. 2 years and three months but, what counts are the hours that it was on. Your software only really effects the way the TV interacts with HDMI inputs and really won't effect much else. The manufactures only expect 4-5000 hours on the lamp. Some go less some go more. You need to replace that lamp most likely.

I have a Mitsubishi model WD-60737 and to make a long story short 1st time problem lamp replaced fine for a month til my uncle hooked a DVD player to my TV next day turned on with solid green light then TV kept turning off after 2 to 3 minutes of beingetting turned on and a solid red light to show after. What does that mean? It's a brand new lamp and worked for a month so why shut down now? Could my uncle have did something to where it shook up the circuits or something?
Blue led light lit solid and yellow led light flashes is an initial attempt of the set to re-light the lamp.Red led flashes and yellow led light solid means that the lamp won't light up that's why it only has sound without the picture. Since you've replaced the lamp twice and still the symptoms persist, I suspected that the fault came from the ballast board and not on the lamp itself. If the ballast board gone to malfunction, there's no high voltage will produce to light up the lamp and will sensed by the processor and trigger the error code (Flashes/solid led light with color code).
To verify whether the ballast board is faulty or not, check if the lamp will lit by looking through the lamp door louvers at the rear of the cabinet upon turning on the set. Please let me know what you will find to assist you further.
Other then POWER BUTTON light there are three lights more
1. lamp indicator
2. temperature indicator
3. computer input
witch one light is flashing RED or illuminated RED with POWER BUTTON orange light.
If LAMP INDICATOR light is illuminated RED than lamp runtime has reached 1800 hours. but projector still working.
If LAMP INDICATOR light flashing RED than lamp circuit failure, or abnormal function or lamp unit is damaged. In this case projector doing the same behave just like your projector.
if TEMPERATURE indicator illuminating RED the projector still projecting and if flashing RED than turned of itself
sounds like the caps on the power board have failed. You can get the V26 DM/Power repair kit from www.tvrepairworld.com which also contains the instructions.
Thats usually caused by failed capacitors on the power board. The V26 power repair kit from www.tvrepairworld.com should repair that issue. The kit comes with the instructions on Cd.
