My red lamp light came on solid. I purchased a lamp unit online and it worked fine for about a month. Now I ocasionally get a solid red lamp light. I am able to get the TV to come on by unplugging it for about 15 minutes then plugging it back in and doing a reset or two. Is this a bad lamp or is something else going bad??? The original lamp lasted 2 years 3 months. My software version is .01 . Thanks
2 years and three months but, what counts are the hours that it was on. Your software only really effects the way the TV interacts with HDMI inputs and really won't effect much else. The manufactures only expect 4-5000 hours on the lamp. Some go less some go more. You need to replace that lamp most likely.

I have a similar problem. I was getting a message to replace the lamp for about 1 year before I actually replaced it. My t.v. shut off one day and a blinking red light was on the display. So, then I ordered the new lamp and replaced it. It was working fine for a few days then shut off again and the blinking red light started again. I unplugged the t.v. for a few days and after that it would turn on and work for a week before it would shut off again. Could the problem be the lamp? I also thought it may be the capacitors? Or could it be something else?
