Question about Quasar VV-1311W 13 in. Combo
My original remote for my Combination TV/VCR will not work. A couple of the buttons were real sluggish, so I bought a new, "universal" remote, which I did not like at all. It was too frustrating trying to "code in" the numbers, and then punch the channel up button until the oode was entereed. So, I decided to go back to my original remote, only now NONE of the buttons will work!! I have to manually push the controls on my television for anything to happen. Can anyone help me????
Try stripping your old remote and cleaning it, i find cleaning the contacts on the pcb and the buttons themselves with aftershave is the best

when i say strip the remote i mean pull it apart, they are usually just held together by clips inside, if you squeeze the bottom half you can use your finger nail to prize them apart, a bit tricky but thats the way, check firstly that theres no screws hiding anywhere (look in the battery compartment),
could you please clarify what you mean by sluggish, if its what i think you mean then a good cleaning of the contacts and the buttons should sort the problem out,
hope this is of some help to you

To Nezro123: Thank you for your solution. I appreciate your comments. How do I "strip" my remote? Never heard of that. I somehow don't think that that will help, though, because most of the buttons worked before I put in the numbers from the new remote. That tells me that there was nothing wrong with those buttons before. Just the ones that were not working. However, I will try what you suggested.
To nezro123: Thank you for your reply. By the term "sluggish" I mean that when I tried a couple of the buttons on the remote, they either took a long time to respond, or I could not get them to respond at all. That's why I tried to use the "universal" remote. And I think that by entering new commands and numbers, I wiped out the original code. So now I have to either go back and complete the new remote commands (which are SO frustrating!) or find out how to re-establish
the "code" for my original remote. Make sense?
