Compressor light on edgestar ap420hs

I bought this unit several years ago and just now hooked it up. It is making a chirping noise and the compressor light is on. I checked all the filters and connections. What's the problem?

SOURCE: Hello.. I am looking for the bottom squirrel Cage

If you take off the back filter panel, you can look down into the innerds of the unit and you will see the squirrel cage.

Why is my 2001 Yukon making a chirping noise

I would check the freon level, because that would be the cheapest fix. If it's not the freon, it could be the AC compressor. If the compressor is locked up, it could make a screeching noise. As far as your brakes, I'd use some brake cleaner. Most likely (unless you've driven it tens of thousands of miles already) they are just dirty. Dust collects quickly on brakes. Hope this helps!

Hello. I have this fridge-freezer, but unfortunately I can't remember when it was bought. I guess it must be between 7 and 12 years ago! It's worked fine but a couple of days ago it started making...

Hi,
By your description you may have a compressor problem. The noise is makes if a buzzing noise when it struggle to start (locked up). The clicking noise would be the relay clicking out on overload to the compressor.
If your correct on the date, you will be better off replacing the unit then looking into the repair, a normal compressor change out can run over 500.00. Your best bet is to cut your losses and replace the unit before spending any more money on it.
Good Luck

1995 deville when remotes are used NO horn chirp or light flash

When the car was built they did not have the chirpping option. I had owned a 95 & a 96 both purchased new and that chip you will not here from a factory unit. Maybe aftermarket has that option if you know someone with the chipping noise in their Caddy. I also worked at a Caddy dealership for 7 years and never heard one chirp in any 90's model
