Video output not working

I have installed the Kenwood DDX-6019 Car DVD Player. video plays fine but the video output rca jack is not sending a signal to my headrest tv's. It's not the rca cord and the headrest tv's play fine when hooked to another video source.

It sound to me like you have a broken connection on yourvideo out jack on the main unit becouse you say the lead is fine and the tv screens work with another unit.this can be caused by the plug being pulled out in a wrong angle. ask an audio dealer to chech the solder connections in the unit to see if they are making a connection with the pcb(printed circuit board. hope this helps

Dvd screens in headrests are not getting power

The problem seems to be that the video out from the kenwood head unit is either faulty or the leads from the head unit to the monitors are faulty. Have you checked to see that the head unit when playing a DVD is set on ZONE 2 so that it transfers the video signal to the headrest monitors?

What color is the e brake wire connection to show the dvd video on my kenwood ddx6019

Its either pink or brown. Most likely pink as most people buy the downgraded version of this player cause its cheaper. Just connect the pink wire to a chassis ground and you can play dvd's while the car is moving.

<This is NOT legal in most states I do not claim responsibility for ignorance if you do this and try watching a movie while driving.>

Other wise just connect the wire to the e-brake. Careful! That stereo drains your battery quick if you watch movies on it.
