Just get a new one. It most likely broke the LCD screen.

Id get a new one. might not be worth fixing, you could take it to someone technical who could check it out whats wrong with it.

I had the same problem my advice is to buy new head phones cuz they suck its not worth wastin ure time on fixin it its only 99 cents at a dollar store for new ones

check ebay - e250 sansa repair for partially functioning units with a good screen. I am still looking for instructions for the replacement procedure though....good luck, we have the same issue...
