Question about Olympus Camedia C-350 Digital Camera
An error box pops up that reads component:PrnTempl File Group:PrnTempl File:D:\Camedia Master\data2.cab Error:data error (cyclic redundancy check) Does anyone know what this means and how I can fix it as I have all my pictures stuck in the camedia file on my pc that was downloaded from my old hard drive. I have other camera software but none that I like as much as the Camedia Master 4.1 version. Please help!! Cheers
A CRC error (Cyclic Redundancy Check) is a data corruption error. This basically means that the data read from the media did not match what was expected to be read by the software. I would say that it is most likely that the source media that you are copying/reading from is corrupted. It is also possible that the destination media that you are copying to could be the source of the problem. If it is a hard drive try running scan disk or other disk repair software, if it is a CD - clean or replace the CD. David Millier Advance Camera Repair
